The Nevada State Board implemented the Advanced Esthetician License at the beginning of 2022 for estheticians who want to focus on more medical specialties such as working with lasers (tattoo removal, hair removal, skin rejuvenation, etc), cryotherapy, microcurrent LED, RF micro needling, and hydro dermabrasion. All licensed estheticians and cosmetologists who want to become licensed Advanced estheticians can take a 75-hour laser course until October 1, 2023. After that date, you will need to complete either a 300-hour Advanced Esthetician course for licensed professionals or the entire 900-hour Advanced Esthetician course.
Why
As of right now, the only services you can legally provide as a “Esthetician” are lash extensions, lash or brow lifts, facials, hydra facials, makeup, waxing and sugaring, microdermabrasion, salt or sugar scrub body treatments, body wraps, high frequency, dermaplaning, extractions, superficial exfoliation, and enzyme peels or masks. Any service that involves the removal of living tissue must be performed under the supervision of a healthcare professional (a physician, a physician’s assistant, or an advanced practice registered nurse). The current bill grandfathers all “Advanced Estheticians” into the new law if they are licensed before October 31st, 2023. If you aren’t licensed by this date you will have to go back to school for an additional 300 hours to become a “Advanced Esthetician”.

Flexibilities
AB Cosmetica Professionals offers the flexibility of this class, this is a hybrid class that contains 45 hours of theory, and 30 hours of hands-on training. With 20 Hours online and 55 Hours on Campus.

This course is intended for Licensed Estheticians or Cosmetologists who want to upgrade their current license to Advanced Esthetician in accordance with Nevada’s SB291.
The Advanced Laser course covers the most recent Laser and Light Treatments, as well as the most popular energy-based treatments, and fulfills the 75-hour Laser Training requirement for advancing your current license to an Advanced Esthetician License.
Hybrid Class consists of 20 Hours of Online Class and 55 Hours of On Campus.

After successfully completing this training, you can become an Advanced Esthetician (independent contractor) and begin providing services IMMEDIATELY at our Advanced Esthetics Establishment.
- Independent Contractor – working at our establishment earns up to 50% commission and flexible hours
